Vacation Bible School was a hit! We are so excited for the 153 children that were able to join us over the course of the week! What a testimony to God’s greatness. The children learned all kinds of wonderful things about how “Jesus loves messy people”. Below you will find helpful links and information. Missions
This year we once again went to Bethany World Ministries in Mkushi Zambia to learn all about the Home of Hope, School of Hope, and Farm of Hope! We learned Bemba words and the children gathered money to get school supplies and desks for the School of Hope!
Words we learned:
Lesa (lay-sah) – God
Jesu (yeh-su) – Jesus
Lesa mu suma (lay-sah moo sue-mah) – God is good
Muli shani (moo-lee shaw-knee) – How are you?
Bwino (bwee-no) – I am fine
Chitenge (sheh-tang-ee) – A large piece of fabric worn and used by women in Zambia.

Bible Story
Miss Connie and Miss Felicity took the kids on adventures all week discovering how messy life is! They built cities and found out that Jesus does in fact love messy people! As is evidenced by so many incredible stories throughout the Bible.
We shared the Gospel message with all our kiddos. Showing them that while sin messed everything up, Jesus came as the perfect sacrifice to make us clean before God the Father! Below you’ll see the “prayer sandwich”. This is the way Miss Connie and Miss Felicity helped the VBS kids to understand that we need to both talk and listen to God. It’s a silly way to help them remember that prayer is important and not at all scary!
